Both of the northbound lanes of the Waikato Expressway are closed following a crash this evening.

The single vehicle crash, reported to Police at 5.20pm, occurred between the Koura Drive on-ramp and the Great South Road off-ramp.

The driver of the car suffered moderate injuries and has been transported to hospital.

Diversions are in place.

State Highway 1 is partially blocked northbound in lane one.

Kawarau Gorge Road is blocked following a truck rolling.

The crash between the truck and a van happened around 9:15am near the intersection with the Roaring Meg Pack Track.

There do not appear to be any injuries but it is expected to take some time to right the truck.

Motorists are asked to delay travel if possible.

Emergency services are in attendance at a two-car crash in Rotorua which has closed a state highway.

It happened about 8:20am on Fairy Springs Road, between Monokia Street and Russell Road.

One person is in critical condition, and Police’s Serious Crash Unit has been advised.
