Emergency services are responding to a serious crash on SH2, Karangahake.

Police were notified of the vehicle collision involving a pedestrian and car at 12:28 this afternoon.

One person is reported to be seriously injured.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible as delays are expected.
